The aquaponics system tested in Issum was set up in Entebbe with two different teams from Enactus. All larger parts were procured locally. The aquatic facility is part of an organization that helps orphans.
Fortunately, this facility also has a vet who can also help monitor the facility.
Within the first 2 weeks the system was set up and "put into operation", i. with water and the first, initially a little fish. Here, the Enactus team could be deployed on water that has already "run in" from nearby Lake Victoria.
During the starting phase, there was an intensive exchange about the development of the water values and the coordination of the next steps.
We are very happy that the aquaponic system in Entebbe is now up and running.
